Our Past Credentials
- Wallet Connect x Sovereign Nature Initiative Web3Inbox launch campaign distributed 121,600 NFTs (on Arbitrum main net), the biggest Arbitrum NFT collection to date.
- Subsequently 45,000 Web3Inbox holders receive updates on their NFT nature positive impact.

Problem being addressed
NFTs for Polkadot events are currently fragmented and do not follow a consistent theme, nor do they have any significant real world perks. We envision a paradigm shift where sustainability intersects with digital innovation, ushering in a new era of immersive and purposeful engagement. Through a collaborative effort with Unique Network's NFT updatability and the seamless integration of Wallet Connect's advanced technology and user base, we propose a transformative initiative. This proposal incorporates real world species data and empathy-rich narratives with dynamic qualities that evolve in tandem with user engagement and embeds sustainability into events.
- To build a sticky community of holders and create a competitive, evolutionary experience, we propose introducing a dynamic nature backed DOTphin; an avatar companion that evolves together with the owner through participation at Polkadot & ecosystem wide events.
- Through the partnership with Wallet Connect, we’re proposing a seamless wallet integration and outstanding UX which will benefit the wider Polkadot ecosystem and bring significant cross chain opportunities, a connection to Wallet Connect’s user base and an improved mobile experience.
- Lastly, Sovereign Nature Initiative elevates real world use cases and demonstrates Polkadot’s commitment to impact initiatives by allocating a portion of the budget to the conservation efforts of a pre-selected ecological steward, providing wildlife data. The sustainability narrative can be amplified across all channels beyond event marketing and position the ecosystem as a leader in impact initiatives.
The solution is DOTphin, an eco-linked dynamic multi pass, or avatar companion, backed by animal data that supports biodiversity restoration, is engaging and easy to access. The avatar evolves through a series of physical and digital events while bringing community engagement and sustainability support to the Polkadot ecosystem. By working with the WalletConnect team, we are bringing best in class UX to the Polkadot ecosystem, so we can also guarantee an easy onboarding for the new Polkadot users.

How does it exactly work?
A DOTphin dynamic NFT is issued to attendees of the selected Polkadot events as a dynamic soul bound token.
At selected events, attendees will be able to claim a special proof of attendance tokens via email or by scanning on site QR codes. These proof of attendance tokens will be used for the future DOTphin evolution and upgrades. While evolving, the DOTPhin will give access to different real life perks such as entry to event lounges, parties and other physical activities during the event.
The virtual appearance of the DOTphin will constantly change according to its evolution.
When your DOTphin reaches a certain level, the holder will be able to visit the site where the species is being monitored. The trip is organised by Sovereign Nature Initiative’s partner conservation organisation.
A significant portion of OpenGov treasury funding goes directly to Aquasearch, the conservation partner supplying dolphin data, its updates and providing impact reporting on how funds are being utilised and the impact it’s making on the natural ecosystem. This nature positive contribution positions Polkadot as a green value chain and enables a voluntary

Why Wallet Connect?
WalletConnect is a leading wallet connectivity provider. WalletConnect aims to expand its support for non-evm chains, and Polkadot will be the second (following Solana) non-evm chain that is supported by Web3Modal. Web3Modal will allow seamless cross chain switching between all supported chains, creating a simplified developer experience where only one SDK needs to be maintained. It will also create greater cross-chain interoperability for end users. Sovereign Nature will be the first users of Web3Modal on Polkadot, but Web3Modal will be available to any Polkadot project after launch.
By integrating the Web3Modal SDK we will be able to bring Polkadot dApps to their ecosystem of 6000 existing dApps and around 500 cross chain wallets, powering 10,000,000 connections per month.
The Web3Modal service ecosystem is currently expanding and already offers easy email onboarding and onramping functionality. These UX features will eventually find their way to the Polkadot ecosystem as well. The user experience improvements are the first step towards onboarding more users into the ecosystem by lowering the knowledge gap required to use Polkadot dApps, allocate funds, do token swaps and other on-chain activities.
Web3Inbox SDK will allow Polkadot dApps to communicate with users wallets while shortening the gap between the dApp and the end users. It will provide a more secure method for frequent dApp communication while avoiding the email phishing attacks.
SNI has previously produced a WalletConnect eco-backed proof of care NFT that was airdropped to 121,600 wallets as part of the web3inbox product launch. WalletConnect has demonstrated their support for nature conservation, with excellent UX will be able to address a wider non-Polkadot native audience that also cares about impact initiatives. By lowering technical barriers, we are not only expanding the Polkadot outreach, we are also extending the possibilities for the new ecology focused income streams that can be brought into the Polkadot ecosystem.
How will the proof of attendance tokens be minted?
The DOTPhin will be structured as a cross parachain service. The event proof of attendance NFTs will be allocated on existing Polkadot parachains while the main dynamic NFT will be stored on the Unique Network. This will allow the community to have decentralized proof of attendance tokens for each event while maintaining the integration with the multipass.
The usage of the Unique Network Dynamic NFT solution will allow us to have verifiable dynamic data updates on-chain.

Scope For Unique Network
Unique team will assist with the work on the Dynamic NFTs, the first such project in the Polkadot ecosystem. To work with Dynamic NFTs, components are needed that allow for:
- Creating Dynamic NFTs
- Modifying Dynamic NFTs
- Responding to their changes
Accordingly, the following are required: - A Dynamic NFT metadata standard, naturally compatible with the standard NFT metadata format
- A management tool for Dynamic NFTs (creation, modification, deletion, transfer, etc.)
- A service that supports the state of Dynamic NFTs
- A tool for retrieving Dynamic NFT data and a mechanism for responding to changes in Dynamic NFTs
- Dynamic NFT Standard and Protocol
To create Dynamic NFTs, a standard is needed for storing information about the dynamic component. In other words, to modify one NFT with another, information about such modification needs to be stored. Clearly, the most suitable and decentralized way to do this is by storing it in the NFT metadata. Therefore, a method for storing this data is required. We will develop a corresponding format for storing dynamic metadata in NFTs. Using this format, we plan to create Dynamic collections and NFTs. Additionally, we plan to establish a standard similar to EIP or PSP, which will describe a metadata storage model for enabling Dynamic NFTs in a format compatible with the standard NFT metadata storage style.
Dynamification Service - To support the operation of Dynamic NFTs compatible with standard wallets, the task of maintaining NFT Dynamics is entrusted to an external service. While a decentralized service for maintaining NFT dynamics is under development, the first step towards it is a centralized service. Consequently, we will develop a service that provides real-time dynamics for NFTs. This service responds to changes in NFT properties or nesting and accordingly alters properties, images, and other media or metadata. Thus, wallets simply consume information about NFTs as usual, while the NFT itself becomes dynamic and easily changeable over time, even down to changing with every block.
- API for Creating and Updating NFTs
As Dynamic NFTs are a new and interesting concept, to spare users the complexities of creating and encoding such NFTs, users need an SDK, which allows for the easy and intuitive creation of even very complex Dynamic NFTs. Unique has developed it’s SDK consisting of a REST interface and a client SDK library and now is going to extend it with the Dynamic NFT management part. The suite of endpoints and methods includes additional specific methods for Dynamic Collections and NFTs, and methods for validation of the created NFT scheme and corresponding NFT schema. - API for Data Retrieval and Subscription to Changes in Dynamic NFTs
Since NFTs change over time and have an extended metadata standard, not all block explorers can handle such data. To ensure accurate data retrieval and comprehensive updates about Dynamic NFTs, we are going to develop a service that allows for real-time responses to NFT changes through a flexible subscription mechanism with appropriate event filters. This mechanism ensures the system’s correct operation and absence of failures on the client side, and also responds to changes in Dynamic NFTs in some Web2 services if desired. Thus, Dynamic NFTs in Web3 can influence the operation of services in Web2, adding a degree of decentralization and transparency to their management, though not making them fully decentralized. At least, it provides a significant step towards bridging Web2 and Web3, allowing them to take the best from each world and create the most useful and user-friendly dApps.

Hey Guys,
Despite the challenges, I think the DOTphin Event Multipass proposal has some cool potential.
The idea of evolving NFTs tied to user participation and real-world perks is super engaging. It’s a step up from static POAPs and adds a fun, interactive element. Embedding ecological impact into the NFT experience is a unique angle that can attract environmentally conscious users. Plus, the transparent impact reporting is a great touch.WalletConnect integration should lower the onboarding barriers and make it easier for users to engage with Polkadot dApps, which is a win for expanding our community.
However, the following challenges should be recognized. As we all know, previous POAP initiatives haven’t always been successful, so we’ll need a solid strategy to boost user interest and participation. Integrating dynamic NFTs smoothly will be tricky, but it could make a big difference if we get it right.
