The Problem:
Thanks to the Polkadot Blockchain Academy, people gain the technical knowledge to build on Polkadot. However, more than technical knowledge is required to build a successful product on Polkadot. Founders must articulate their value proposition, get early product traction, discover product market fit, etc. These skills often need to be improved in most startup teams. PolkaBiz focuses on all the business aspects that founders need to know.
Our Solution:
As founders ourselves, we deeply understand the challenges and solitude that come with building a company. We personally relate to the hurdles you encounter, from securing funding to forging partnerships and scaling your business. Therefore, in close collaboration with the PBA, we will launch an initial test of the PolkaBiz program designed to prepare a select group of founders for “investment readiness” ahead of Polkadot Decoded in Brussels (July 2024).
During the investment night (July 11) organized by PolkaBiz, our participants will be significantly better equipped to engage investors with a polished elevator pitch. Leading up to the event, we will collaborate with founders to refine their pitch decks, fine-tune their lite-papers, and co-develop their business value propositions, ensuring they present their ideas in the most compelling way possible.
After this 5-month trial period, an evaluation will determine whether an initiative like PolkaBiz benefits founders within the Polkadot ecosystem. The community will then decide based on feedback from the founders, partners, and investors.

The amount we ask for is $75,500 USD, any amount received over this amount due to an increase in price in DOT, will be returned to the treasury.
Hello from Polkadotters!
We support this proposal as it aims to empower new projects and their founders in building successful products by offering a program that focuses on business skills. This program is complementary to the technical knowledge provided by the Polkadot Blockchain Academy. If this could help new shiny projects to be more successful in the Polkadot ecosystem (and beyond), that's a big plus for the eco. Great that someone is doing this kind of support. AYE.
