Hello everyone!
We’re Alpha Airdrop, a DOT native, video content team from the US and since inception, we have been helping teams across Polkadot using our video content and marketing expertise to bring awareness to the ecosystem’s amazing tech and the awesome teams building in it.

Polkadot has always been our home and as homage, since creation, the pink dot has been a part of our logo. We started as a two man, self-funded operation but thanks to the teams who have partnered with us, we’ve been able to self-sustain for the last 2 years.

Background and Experience:

Having successfully joined RMRK quickly after starting our journey here, we’ve now partnered with others like Talisman, Hashed Network, Polkahaus, DOT Builders DAO, Phala and more to amplify the voice of the polkadot ecosystem. We’ve also been long time members of WagMedia and recently became one of the 10 original content creators inducted into the Subsocial Creator Staking Program. We’ve always strived to push Polkadot education and spread the ecosystem's presence in this competitive blockchain space with engaging video content that’s not just fun to watch, but easy to learn from.

We plan to continue to leverage our skills and insights for widespread platform engagement to push for the best Polkadot content possible and now we’re seeking assistance from the treasury to help us expand Polkadot content far and wide.

We’ve done a little bit of everything when it comes to Polkadot content, from Vlogs at Polkadot Decoded or ETH Denver, to man in the street interviews, news, updates and project breakdowns. We’ve done our best with what we had available to showcase the people of Polkadot, highlight the unity of the ecosystem and discuss how it differs from competitors. However, we now see the increasing competition from other blockchains to seize the narratives and ideas that are native to this ecosystem. We know we can use our high quality content creation skills to help bring back these narratives to their home. Especially during a time of transition as we have new terminology with new ideas and infrastructure coming out.

Our team:

Enrique is the original founder and creator of Alpha Airdrop, he’s been in social media marketing and content creation since 2016. After working with multiple startups and helping them through the early branding, marketing and product market fit struggle, he noticed polkadot suffered from similar issues. As a true DOT believer, he brought our team together to harness our talents and help the ecosystem in any way possible. He focuses on our content strategy, edits the majority of our videos and is our main voice behind the Alpha Airdrop X account.

Lem is the co-founder of Alpha Airdrop, he’s been in content and media creation since 2019. A busy medical student and dad by day, and a decentralization and freedom maxi by night, he’s been a creative writer and personality for multiple content companies. Now a full on DOT degen, he strives to craft some of the most digestible short form content on the crypto interwebs. He focuses on writing our video scripts, fine tuning edits for max attention capture, and researching and writing threads on X. His ultimate crypto goal is to one day become a crypto meme lord, but he’s got a lot of work to do to get there.

Proposal

  • $72,000 USD for 24 weeks of content, 10 videos per month and 4 threads.

  • 2 long deep dives per month (12 longs videos)

  • 8 short videos per month (60 shorts videos)

  • 1 Weekly Polkadot Ecosystem Thread (24 thread posts)

Short form content is what we do at the very best. We’re always trying new techniques and testing new styles (see the examples provided). Overtime we’ve found that short form content, when done well, has the best organic ability to reach and engage more people. This is why we spread our videos on multiple platforms over the last few months to test what works and what doesn't. Recently, we’ve gone back to doing long videos and the community responded really well and asked for more. These videos do take a considerably higher amount of time to produce using our style and presentation, so at this time we can only produce 2 a month.

Distribution Channels:

Content will be distributed across multiple platforms including X, Youtube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, where blockchain communities engage, to ensure maximum reach and impact.

Objectives

  1. Overall goal:
  • Amplify Polkadot's unique narratives (forkless upgrades, coretime, etc)

  • Increase awareness and engagement for Polkadot

  • Highlight Polkadot's contributions to the blockchain ecosystem using video content (interoperability, modular framework, cross chain consensus, async backing)

  1. We start with our core marketing strategy.
  • Address the 5 - W’s of Polkadot: Who, What, When, Where, Why

  • Apply these to the unique narratives, detail, describe them and educate in interesting ways

  • Use the 3 E’s of content marketing - Engage, Entertain, Educate

  • Add our unique creative scripting and content style of to attract new audiences
    Then apply E/E (expand and experiment) which helps us find messages that resonate and stick.

Specifically with treasury support we will:

Produce more easy-to-understand videos showcasing Polkadot's updates, stories, and infrastructure, emphasizing its leadership in the blockchain industry.
In response to the growing competition in interoperability and app chain narratives, we aim to ensure that Polkadot's evolving vision and advanced technology are prominently featured and recognized.
Focus on Polkadot's distinct stories and narratives, contrasting them with upcoming technologies in our explainers to spark interest beyond the existing ecosystem.
Our primary objective is to utilize Polkadot's unique strengths to create messages and pinpoint issues that attract new audiences, sharing selective news and stories with a targeted message, not just for updates.
Aim to grow the ecosystem by developing messages that resonate with newcomers, a process that includes extensive testing of our short, engaging, and animated video delivery style.

  1. Once a successful messaging strategy is established, we plan to create:
    More in-depth user friendly guides
    Content about Polkadot infrastructure and the problems it fixes
    Short stories that further engage new audiences

We also want to continue doing what we’ve done and offer ourselves as an asset to any team in the ecosystem, large or small. Whoever is struggling with marketing or wants a fresh video that explains who they are and what they do, let us know!

Conclusion

Over the past two years, while collaborating with RMRK and various other teams, we've produced +160 videos. This experience has allowed us to sharpen our skills, refine our distinctive approach to storytelling, and improve our video design techniques.

We are committed to being the ecosystem agents that help polkadot gain recognition as we have been since the beginning and increase engagement through fun, educational videos that focus on DOT fundamentals and user facing applications.
