Greetings,
After polling the community on X, I have decided to throw my hat in the ring for Head Ambassador.
Note: I need a sponsor for the decision deposit. If you believe this should be actionable and have enough DOT to place the DD, I would greatly appreciate it. Otherwise this will be totally inconsequential.
To be a servant to DOT holders and the Polkadot brand by providing online general & technical support for users, creating content about Polkadot governance & tech, and establishing a strong presence for Polkadot in the United States of America.
First month: $10,000 to purchase better equipment and relieve financial stress
Every subsequent month: $80 per hour logged up to $5,000 with the other $5,000 going toward travel expenses and discretionary spending to proliferate the Polkadot brand or hire necessary talent.
14 days PTO per year ($166.66 per day). Unused PTO does not roll over.
Unused discretionary spending funds will be used to buy DOT which will be staked to support a strategic fund.
My career has its roots in service, sales, and management. As I gained more experience in these fields, I expanded my career into professional networking, business development, and entrepreneurship/leadership. After graduating from college, I tried my hand in an analytics role within the pharmaceutical industry which gave me a strong foundation in technical writing analysis and finance/accounting in regard to insurance coverage in clinical trials.
When my children grew out of infancy, I decided to hang up my professional career and serve tables so that my wife and I wouldn’t have to pay for daycare. This flexibility ultimately led to my entry in the crypto space, though I had some experience in 2016 flipping Bitcoin for cash in downtown St. Paul. I bought some LINK in the fall of 2020 which I sold for KSM in April of 2021 to get a decent self-stake on my validator. I self-taught myself Linux system admin and node management throughout my tenure as a validator and served a long time in the Thousand Validator Program. In the fall of 2021, I decided to quit my job serving tables to focus completely on the Kusama and Polkadot ecosystems.
In my time in the ecosystem I’ve been a part of, and founded, many projects. I’ve worked with dozens of professionals including developers, artists, project managers, creative leads, and other founders. Polkadot and Kusama have served as my sandbox where all of my experience and education has come together to coordinate teams, devise programs, build my social media presence, provide well-informed commentary, and disseminate highly technical information to the layman. Additionally, my bold, free-speaking approach has also provided the community with a refreshing perspective on many occasions.
I have a very solid grasp on the happenings of the ecosystem and the sentiments of the community. Patient and persistent participation over the last 3 years has given me a confident insight to what Polkadot needs and how I can help its growth and presence. The culmination of the Ambassador Program and my robust experience in business management, along with the fact that I reside in the USA where Polkadot so desperately needs representation, opens the door to an opportunity where I can fervently serve Polkadot.
My allegiance is to you, DOT holder.

Threshold
This is the most well thought-through application I have seen, and I would like to express my support for it. I know Adam for about half a year now, and while we have not met in person, we have worked together on the AMI Bounty, which he has initiated and I am a curator of. From this experience I can say that he is an extremely driven and diligent individual, a rare combination.
His is extremely knowledgeable about various technical aspects of Polkadot, and he has taught me (and many others in the AMI Bounty) a lot about complex calls on JS, such as nested proxy multisigs. It is clear that he is passionate about educating people on a technical level, and help avoid scams and rugs, as displayed by the tutorials and videos he has made to that end.
A few more points on his diligence: Anyone who has followed the development of the AMI Bounty will have to agree that this is an extremely well managed project, writing detailed policies and charters, proactively managing conflicts of interest and keeping operating costs low. Adam's HA proposal is also the only one that is volunteering to track time spent (He does do the same for the AMI Bounty btw!) And while I don't think that tracking time should be a requirement for all HAs (since this would not be enforceable anyways) I think it shows the seriousness with which Adam is approaching this ambassadorship. He is not here for a quick buck from the treasury.
The only "negative" thing about him is that he is not the most diplomatic person in the world. He can rub people the wrong way, and get into lengthy arguments. But once you get to know him better, you will realise that this is because he has a real passion for Polkadot, and stays true to his principles. I think he will make an excellent Head Ambassador!
