Hello everyone,
My name is Albert (I Love Cripto) and I have been the Head Ambassador of Polkadot in Spain until today. I have been in the ecosystem since 2020 as an investor, and by the end of that year, I decided to participate actively. I joined the group of ambassadors in September 2021 and became Head Ambassador in September 2022.
From the beginning, my goal has always been to train ambassadors to acquire soft and hard skills. I believe ambassadors should be highly qualified in areas such as technical skills, marketing, events, and business strategies. I have always aimed to foster these skills in the ambassadors in Spain, the region assigned to me. However, the program's focus was more on increasing the number of ambassadors rather than enhancing their skills, something I felt needed more balance.
Taking advantage of this program reset, I am presenting my candidacy as Head Ambassador to cover vital areas with my team.
Business Development
I am a member of the BD team in Spain and Andorra. This team is crucial for attracting Web2 companies that want to add value to the Polkadot ecosystem. Currently, we are working with major companies such as BBVA and FC Barcelona, among other projects.
Events
With my experience in my events company, Let it Happen Events, I decided to organize events for Polkadot after Covid to educate the community, developers, and ambassadors. I have organized events such as:
- Polkadot World Barcelona
- Polkadot World Madrid
- European Polkadot Ambassador Gathering
Unfortunately, Bounty 17 did not work correctly and prevented me from organizing three large-scale events. Nevertheless, I co-organized events such as Polkadot Hackathon Latam and Polkadot Prodigy, and participated in the Polkadot Hub event in Mexico in June 2023. I also organized an event for Ramón Barau, a candidate for Mayor of Sant Boi del Llobregat. Additionally, I am the curator of the Spanish Bounty in the events area.
Education and Communication
I have actively participated in events, teaching the community about Polkadot and how to interact with the blockchain, staking, governance model, parachains, etc. I have also represented Polkadot at events outside the ecosystem, as well as on radio and state media, promoting Polkadot beyond its ecosystem. Moreover, I was the MC at Sub0 2023 and won the Discord server background contest.
What can I offer to Polkadot as Head Ambassador?
My focus is on three verticals: Business, Marketing and Events, and Education.
Business: Polkadot’s model requires attracting companies of all sizes to its ecosystem. I work with the BD team in Spain to bring the best opportunities to the ecosystem in Spain and Latam. I am convinced that our efforts will bear fruit very soon.
Marketing and Events: Events are crucial in this process. We will focus on three areas: Business, Developers, and Community.
Business: Exclusive events for companies will allow greater proximity to our clients and show them the benefits of the Polkadot ecosystem.
Developers: I will propose a new hackathon model to attract fresh and brilliant minds, with a competition among the top universities in Spain.
Community: I aim to focus on multichain events to introduce new users to Polkadot and attract them to it. My goal is to hold one major Polkadot event in Spain and another in Latam.
In terms of marketing, I am working with one of the most important football teams in the world to feature Polkadot on their official shorts and contacting influencers not related to crypto to promote Polkadot in their podcasts, reaching new audiences.
Education and Community: Education is fundamental in Polkadot. I want to create learning campaigns with the Airlift platform and reward participants with the highest scores. Additionally, I will promote marketing strategies to increase Polkadot's visibility, encouraging social media interaction.
Additionally, I am working to establish an agreement with 42, a highly reputable academy renowned for its unique methodology. The academy operates without teachers, is completely free of charge, and uses a peer-to-peer (P2P) learning approach. This agreement would allow thousands of students to access Polkadot technology at a very affordable cost.
Finally, I want to build bridges between other Head Ambassadors and community members to offer my help and that of my team to anyone who needs it, as I have always done until today.
