Total requested: 889 DOT
We would like to request a self-tip in regards to the maintenance and continued development of our services on decentraDOT.com of the past couple of months, this includes;
1. Validator dashboard Cyclops (dashboard.decentradot.com)
Cyclops is an open-source validator dashboard we developed over a year ago (https://github.com/ArthurHoeke/cyclops). The first version was released on Apr 13, 2023. Since the initial release we have self-hosted an instance of our dashboard for the community and provided maintenance and development where needed for over a year since the initial w3f grant. Currently, the dashboard is actively used by over 100 validators. Since the release we have added nomination pools, reward export tools, nominator tracking among other changes.
2. Thousand validator program leaderboard (1kv.decentradot.com)
We have developed, maintained and self-hosted a 1kv leaderboard for about 2 years, providing program participants with an easy interface to track their position in the program.
3. Polkadot validator selector tool (decentradot.com/polkadot-validator-selector/)
After seeing that other Polkadot validator selector tools aren't available / maintained anymore, we developed a new unbiased selector tool a few weeks ago which is now also listed in the Polkadot wiki (https://wiki.polkadot.network/docs/learn-staking).
The tool takes variables into consideration such as verified identity, commission, active status, skin in the game et cetera helping users make educated decisions when selecting validators to stake with.
4. Polkadot guides blog (guides.decentradot.com)
We provide an actively updated guides blog on Polkadot, providing users with easy to understand tutorials on topics including liquid staking, pools, compounding and more.
The requested tip would help us cover most of the server costs, maintenance and development hours we put in the tools outlined above. Taking into consideration a $100 hourly wage:
Validator dashboard Cyclops:
Additional development (pool support, nomination tracking etc) and hosting / maintenance: $2500
Thousand validator program leaderboard:
Initial development and hosting / maintenance over the past 2 years: $1000
Polkadot validator selector tool:
Initial development and maintenance: $2000
Polkadot guides blog:
Development of platform and writing of articles: $500
Total: $6000 / $6.75 (Per DOT on Apr 14) = 889 DOT.
If you have any questions please let us know, thank you.
