Hello Polkadot Community,
The Tie is proposing to partner with Polkadot to elevate Polkadot’s institutional visibility, foster strong connections with leading traditional and crypto-native institutions, and ensure ongoing communication for sustained growth across the ecosystem.
Below are key highlights, please reference the full proposal here.
Thank you for your consideration!
The Tie Team
What is the Situation?
Despite its market-leading technology, Polkadot is often overlooked by institutions due to a limited presence in institutional circles and insufficiently accessible or well-presented blockchain data and metrics for DOT.
The Tie has a proven track record working with token issuers to increase institutional exposure and access to leading traditional and crypto-native hedge funds asset managers, banks, VCs, liquidity providers, trading venues, and other institutional market participants.
What is the Solution?
The Tie will partner with the Polkadot ecosystem to drive increased exposure to institutions by providing a series of curated institutional access services and building meaningful analytics on Polkadot for wide-spread distribution.
As part of our partnership, The Tie will provide the following:

Example of a Dashboard built by The Tie x Ava Labs on The Tie Terminal. We would build a comparable dashboard for Polkadot highlighting key metrics that are most important to institutions.
The Tie will deliver Polkadot actionable metrics and alerts to major exchanges and platforms enhancing visibility to a broad retail audience.

The Tie is the leading provider of information services for digital assets. We have three core verticals: Institutional Services, Data Redistribution, and Token Services.
Institutional Services includes our flagship product The Tie Terminal, relied upon by over hundreds of top institutions to make better-informed decisions, and APIs which help quantitative firms build stronger models.
Redistribution Services licenses our institutional-grade datasets, to trading venues and retail platforms, providing users with information and insights they need to approach the market with confidence.
Token Services offers a range of services to leading token issuers including corporate access conferences, investor relations dashboards, and data-driven business intelligence.
The Tie is excited to work with the Web3 Foundation, Parity Technologies, and core contributors on behalf of the entire Polkadot ecosystem to increase institutional exposure and access.
Thank you for your consideration,

@polkaworld Sorry for the slow response time, we have had trouble responding on Polkassembly. Thank you for taking the time to speak with us and for your support on the proposal.
@Colorful Notion we appreciate you sharing your experiences with The Tie's events and your support.
Thank you for your support @jimmytudeski and for sharing your thoughts around transparency and accountability. To address these we will be sharing press releases and updates on our socials around every major deliverable and we are happy to consolidate those here or on other forums. Additionally, so long as all speakers provide consent we plan on recording all sessions that Polkadot keynotes or participates in and sharing them publicly. If you have additional thoughts on how we can increase ongoing transparency you can ping our CEO Josh and he is happy to chat with you [email protected].
Thank you! The dedication to advancing the Polkadot ecosystem through institutional investor awareness is evident and acknowledged. The proposal’s title suggests a broader institutional investor focus, which seems lacking in detailed planning and execution strategy. The significant funding requested brings concerns about financial stewardship and accountability. This scrutiny is not about mistrust but ensuring that every DOT contributed is maximized towards tangible ecosystem growth.
We must express reservations that align with several concerns raised in ref #539, necessitating a more critical examination. I would suggest researching the bounty approach, looking from a broader institutional investor perspective. Creating a regional data bounty could be exciting and this could be a child bounty of that. We believe that the activity in this region should be covered by an American institutional investor bounty with trusted curators from both American and European communities.
The Polkadot way is to figure out what you can deliver with $10,000, and only then show that you delivered $20,000 worth of value. Then the treasury and people will look to invest more. This is how you establish yourself as a good player in the ecosystem. There is just no reason to make such a large starting proposal.
We find it bad in intention to request so much funds up front. You can either request money back for work done, or you can request a smaller amount of money in speculation. This is what is required in this ecosystem.
