This proposal aims to advance POLKADOT decentralized finance (DeFi) education to lay the
foundation for establishing an academy within the Latin American community. It
encompasses three key phases:
Conducting an initial free pilot course aimed at Latin users interested in learning
about POLKADOT decentralized finance.
Launching a second pilot course to test the functionality of a new business model
aimed at developing a POLKADOT DeFi academy.
Editing the first comprehensive POLKADOT DeFi book dedicated to Polkadot for Latin America.
OBJECTIVES
Free DeFi Education: Provide free education on DeFi tools developed on Polkadot
to various Latin communities.
• Test Viability of Course Model: Evaluate the viability of a business model based
on courses for a LATAM DAO.
• Increase Latin Representation in Polkadot: Attract and engage more members
of the Latin community from various backgrounds within the Polkadot ecosystem.
• Promote Polkadot: Raise awareness and understanding of the Polkadot network in
various Latin communities.
• Identify Latin Talent: Identify and foster Latin talent beyond existing Polkadot
networks.
• Create and Distribute the First DeFi Book in Polkadot: Develop the first
comprehensive book on decentralized finance within the Polkadot ecosystem and
distribute it to universities, institutes, and communities across Latin America.
BUDGET
• Budget Allocation: $15,000 USD or 3,061 DOT, including book production costs.
The proposal's overarching objective is to tackle the educational deficiencies in Latin America, offering accessible DeFi education resources, empowering individuals from all backgrounds, and fostering financial inclusion and innovation in the region.
BACKGROUND
MacZam is the project leader. MacZam is a Chilean engineer with a master's degree in Finance and Investments, a diploma in Cybersecurity, and 20 years of experience in the Chilean financial industry.
MacZam has been a professor at various universities in Chile and currently teaches at The Valley Chile's Metaverse Diploma, where he delivers the NFT class, and at Lytryum Academy's DeFi school, where he teaches the Polkadot ecosystem class.
MacZam is the creator of the GreenBoard DEFI YouTube channel and is part of WAG Media.
