Events Bounty V2 Curator Candidacy

Dear community,

we are excited to finally propose the updated events bounty curator candidacy for the Polkadot Events Bounty.

The Polkadot Events Bounty went live on Polkadot governance by the 12th of August 2022. Since then, the events bounty curators have awarded over 100 events for the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystem and community.

In the recent months the bounty curators have received feedback from the community that efficiency of the bounty’s review process could be optimized.
Herewith, we are officially proposing an expansion of the Events Bounty curator set.

Our proposal aims to propose and select new events bounty curators. This curator candidacy proposal is based on the initial bounty proposal from August 2022.

Additionally to proposing new bounty curators, this proposal updates the community on further improvements of the initial bounty proposal from 2022, such as:

• Expansion of multisig from 3 to 5 bounty curators to represent our global community
• Implementing the new Multisig with a proxy set-up
• Introducing 3 new curators in addition to 2 existing curators
• Adding sub-curators to the bounty structure — in sum adding 17 new community members to the bounty structure
• Adding a new event type of ‘events sponsorship’ to the existing ‘extraordinary events’ (category 3)
• Implementing more structured and easy to reach communications channels between bounty curators and event organizers/the community
